SEACMA seeks to support and build up the small businesses present within our community. Through this initiative, we hope to increase awareness towards the incredibly diverse and rich culture that lies within these small businesses. SEACMA provides technical assistance and training for clients seeking skills in various fields. Outside of this, we also offer business owners: micro loans, consultation on business plans, marketing, in depth information on market trends and help with tax filing; to ready them for continued and long lasting success. Furthermore, we connect these owners and entrepreneurs with local banks and associations such as the Small Business Administration for further financial support. For clients who are seeking jobs, including those without sufficient English capacity, SEACMA assists them with:
Writing Professional and Clean Resumes
Understanding Interview Techniques Used by Companies
Searching for Appropriate and Fitting Jobs
Forming Connections with Local Companies
In this program, SEACMA focuses on assisting immigrant artisans, many of whom face language and cultural barriers, in starting their own businesses. We provide small business resources for our community participants, such as improving financial literacy, English skills for the workplace, understanding steps for starting a small business, and learning what makes effective marketing.
