Nathan, a refugee from Vietnam, has lived in Massachusetts since 1990. He received a B.S. degree in Hospitality Management from UMass/Amherst. Nathan started his career working for investment banks; he moved to Worcester in 2018 and made a career change to healthcare services. He joined Family Health Center of Worcester as a Medical Interpreter, Patient Advocate and Community Health Worker. Soon after, he was promoted to Manager of the Medical Interpreter Services Team.
Nathan is Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Vietnamese Community of Massachusetts. He was Executive Director of Au-Lac Vietnamese Language Center in Boston (1999 – 2003); Vice President of the Vietnamese community of Massachusetts (2003 – 2005); Chairperson of Tet in Boston Committee (2005 – 2009); Vice President of the Vietnamese Community of Worcester (2018 – 2023).
Nathan joined SEACMA as Associate Director of Community Engagement and Community Development. In this role, he oversees events, including our Annual Asian Festival, and all aspects of grants related to to small business and community development. He is passionate about helping to build a better community for immigrants and refugees.
